Kindle Euphoria

This is my opinion on the books I read. Remember, don't take it personally and don't get all shitty with me over it.  I don't bash the author personally unless the author has bashed the shit out of me and yes one has. So I will bash Madeline Sheehan forever. Otherwise if a book sucks it doesn't mean the person sucks, I've had books I loved and hated by the same author before, it happens. Not everything will please everyone. This is only my opinon and how these particular books made me feel.

My account was removed from GR so at the moment I'm severely lacking in reviews and books but rest assured for the 2013 year I've read over 300 books.

146: “My insides go mushy all over." - Seriously?

148: “And remember the night he went crazy, yelling at Pete and Riley where the fuck I was, and what had they told me about him?” – DAFUQ? And why is this a question?

149: “And finally, just before ten a.m. and before Riley comes to molest us, I go back to bed and lock myself in with him.” – I don’t think that means what you think it means.

“Then I grab Remy’s sexy ass and squeeze those rocks and clench my teeth because I want to bite them, he’s so frickin’ juicy and hot.” – I hate you. I hope you step on a lego.

“I love how well he eats, really clean.” – Jesus Fucking Christ.

- Omg, I can't stop laughing at the quotes being posted!!!!

1 Go Fuck Yourself Star (Thanks Mrs. Ballsworthy)

DNF at 71%

Nina got on my nerves the whole fucking book but she took the cake with this one. OOOOH MY GOD, bitch took a 6 teir wedding cake that cost a million dollars.

Let me click that fucking spoiler button right quick.

Jake and her finally do the damn deed and somehow amazingly they did it all night and his dick didn't fall off and her vadge didn't hold up a white flag, even in my nympho days that shit was impossible. He is READY and is about to confide his deepest darkest secret that might possibly hurt her bitch ass but he doesn't get to because she wants the dick inside her so bad, and what man is going to say no to someone he's been holding back from and has a dong so hard that a midget could head butt him in the balls and the midget would lose? Right! I'm so politically incorrect right now I'm so pissed.

Remember he was ready and willing to divulge his biggest secrets BEFORE, YES BEFORE they got it on and he drilled her like an offshore oil rig. She fucked that up on her own, that was Nina's fucking fault.

He climbs a fucking fire escape and finds her after the bitch runs from him and tells her everything about his schizo wife who's been in the mental hospital for 4 fucking years in another damn city and tells her EVERYTHING!!!!!!!!!!!!!

No man in this damn world would do the romantic things he did, would help her dumb ass get A's in her college math classes and say the most romantic things he's ever said to her, as well as lay it down, and then put his heart on the line for NOTHING.

The bitch then has the nerve to say she's moving out and needs some time. Bitch you can get time away from him in your own damn room, you had to move out??????

Fuck that, he gave more than any man would have and came clean, and it wasn't a horrible secret like he was cheating or anything and the bitch didn't forgive him immediately. Fuck that.

I already thought she was a fucking dumbass and rude bitch the whole book by sneaking into his room and going through his personal shit and then she got pissed because he fucked some girl when he didn't even KNOW Nina. She got all bitchfaced for that shit too. Ugh, she's a fucking child. Just because she's from the country doesn't mean that she's a fucking idiot and is stunted in her growth and maturity. They go through shit just like everybody else out in small towns too.

I was ready for the love and the happy ending to come and ready to hear the bitch finally grew up and gave him some damn beautiful babies, because anything from Jake would be amazing. I'm in love with Jake's character but Nina just ruined the whole fucking book for me. Fuck that bitch. I'm out.

Searching for Someday (Love Spells 1) - Jennifer Probst

Searching for Someday - Jennifer Probst

3 Sweet Stars
This is an ARC from Netgalley

 The Summary -
In charming Verily, New York, Kate Seymour has a smashing success with Kinnections, the matchmaking service she owns with her two best girlfriends. But Kate’s more than a savvy businesswoman: She’s gifted with a secret power, a jolting touch that signals when love’s magic is at work. It rocked her when she picked up a strange volume of love spells in the town’s used bookstore . . . and it zapped her again when she encountered Slade Montgomery, the hot-tempered—and hot-bodied— divorce lawyer who storms into Kinnections demanding proof that playing Cupid won’t destroy his vulnerable sister, Kate’s newest client. The only way to convince this cynic that she’s no fraud, and that love is no mirage, is for Kate to meet his audacious challenge: find him his dream woman. Can Kate keep their relationship strictly business when her electrifying attraction nearly knocked her off her feet? Or has the matchmaker finally met her match?

Ok, now down to business -
This was a fairly light read. It was headache inducing at times because of Kate's innate ability to piss me off with her stubborness which was taken to a whole new level. I love how she's overcome some difficulties in her life to become a strong woman that you can admire and look up to. She's the every woman and is really likeable as long as you aren't trying to initiate a relationship with her, then she's a major pain in the ass who needs a good swift kick in her forehead. Slade was a pain in the ass too, but not as badly as his soul mate with the magic touch.
The supernatural element of the book was a bit discouraging at first. Kate has this magic touch that she's used to set up couples. When she touches two people she's able to feel whether or not they belong together and are meant for each other. You know that forever kind of love. She grew up knowing about this gift but never believed in it. She also grew up with a stutter and was bullied and made fun of most of her life and never made friends until college. She found 2 great friends in her partners at her matchmaking company, Kinnections. They all were outcasts and they all found lifelong companionship and later created their successful company together.
Kate runs into Slade when he comes in demanding to speak with the manager of her company. He wants to discuss his sister's membership at the matchmaking business. He's afraid for his sister but goes in head first demanding answers in how the company works and ready to bring down the company if he sees that it's a scam to trick people out of their money. Since Kate is sworn to privacy about Slade's sister and the details of her membership, he decides to join to see what Kinnections is all about and to keep an eye on his sister and her progress in the dating arena. He's afraid she's going to try to kill herself again. He thinks she's fragile and that he needs to protect her all the time.
Well, Slade and Kate soon find out that they have a strong electrical charge when they touch. It's strong and overwhelming, but in a good way. That extra bit about the magic book feels like it was just thrown in for the hell of it, but I already get that it's going to tie the series together. I don't think it was even needed. Kate could do the magic pairing off with just her ability to be a good matchmaker. The book was forgotten for most of the series and just out of nowhere pops up. Again, it could be removed and nobody would be any wiser.
I've always liked Mrs. Probsts' writing. She's always got a way to bring about a HEA that makes you smile at the end and makes you feel good inside. The writing is good. The sex scenes are for adults, so keep this book away from children. Can't wait to read the next one.

The Blurb......

Anjasa has been through the worst parts of hell and come back from it wounded but stronger. A trained assassin and courtesan, she’s seen the worst in others… and herself.

She doesn’t know what she wants, but she knows the things she needs. Companionship. Adventure. Fear. She needs to feel alive.

When she meets the human noble, Loren, in the bar, she figured he’d be good for a night of fun. A place to sleep.

Instead she finds an adventure that she can’t turn away from, even though her instincts warn her of the terrible things to come…

After Anjasa meets Loren in a seedy bar on the wrong side of town, she attempts to use him to pay her way and buy her gifts because she's broke as hell. She later uses the excuse.....

Bitch please. Making up excuses. That's all you wanted? Right, she read him so well she knew she'd get a house out of him. Wtf? She seduces him and then offers to help him get his lost inheritance back from his cousin. He lost a competition or something, the book never says what exactly happened. I'm just as confused as you. The book is vague on a lot of shit.
The next day she scams her way into the cousin's house under the guise of being a damsel in distress. The cousin, shit if I remember his name, is playing the super nice guy hero and is offering to protect her and even help her get clothing so she can stay the night with him. He buys her expensive jewelry and after a huge shopping spree, he admits he knows her secret. She knows he's a bad guy and he threatens her life and then bangs the shit out of her. Don't get too excited, it's a half ass sex scene. He's forcing her to bring Loren somewhere to have him killed. Yup.
So she does her job, and decides that Loren isn't worth her time because he just can't sex her right, his cousin is better. The assassin she was supposed to bring Loren to, doesn't kill him and says he needs her help in killing the cousin, oh I remembered his name, Zarach. The assassin guy terrifies her more than Loren does and her poon is already thinking about sexing the assassin up. Yeah, she's a self confessed slut and she lives up to that rep in every way.

She waits in her dungeon overnight and gets another chance to seduce that Zarach guy with the even bigger dick and even better sex. She's just on a roll with these guys. Her luck doesn't seem to run out. She doesn't have to kill a nobleman she feels sorry for but would turn in because self preservation comes first. They all give her amazing sex. Wait, it gets better!
While she's about ready to get her vadge banged out again by Zarach, the assassin comes in and kills him and she watches this all half naked. He gets a knife through his back while he's about to throw down on her poon. She's all turned on watching the fight. Yeah, she's fucked in the head. Then the assassin reveals himself to her and its love at first sight. He's the most beautiful thing she's ever seen. Now it's revealed to her that the assassin guy is a vampire who was turning Z into one too but it was a complicated process and took a long time. He was grooming Z and Z became psycho and irrational. He needed to die. Ok whatever. Now they fuck in the room with a dead guy and guess what? Yup, you got it. Bigger dick, better sex. She hit the slut jackpot! He banged her till dawn and she couldn't walk anymore and now she's going to work for him. He's going to keep her for himself and he needs her to groom Loren so he can become powerful. Then it ends.

The Missionary - Jack Wilder

The Missionary - Jack Wilder

5 Every Emotional Button Stars

As soon as I finished this book, the first words out of my mouth were, "That was an amazing book", yeah that's not happened very often. I've concluded that if you have a penis or a vadge that you'll love this book. Yes there are those that claimed not to like it, but they've missed the message that the book promotes at the end. This is not a book to be taken lightly when read, this isn't mean to be dark just for the sake of being dark, there is a message there. Pay attention.
This book takes you into the dark underbelly of sexual slavery. Now that topic alone doesn't sound appealing to most people. They read to get out of reality and don't want something truly gritty and dark, they want the fantasy. This story belongs to many people, and is a true life experience. If you can't handle that, then you have the emotional range of a bratty teenager.
This story is meant to show you what real people go through. It shows you the horrors of this big secret. It talks about something that most people don't want to talk about. It annoys me when people act like huge issues don't exist because they're not pleasant and socially acceptable. These terrible things happen everyday and millions around the world have to deal with this. Being aware and sometimes offering time or even some money so they can help these people is huge. It might not seem like you can do much, but you can. This book does a great job of making people aware.
I love the main characters in the book. Wren and Stone are wonderful people who've had to deal with some great hardships and shitty circumstances. It's so difficult to write a review and not give anything away. There is a love story going on in this book. Might not seem like you could throw one in but Mr. Wilder does a tremendous job of putting one together and making you feel these amazing experiences. Every difficult situation has you stressed out and every sad situation has you tearing up. Mr. Wilder is an amazing writer and the feelings and emotions he pulls from you, well.....you go through them all. You will feel love and realize you need to cherish your loved ones more after this book.
I think everyone should read this. If I made no sense in this review, I apologize, it is 4 in the freaking morning. I'm trying damn it! Enjoy.

Yours to Keep - Serena Bell

Yours to Keep - Serena Bell

4 Romantical Stars
ARC provided by Netgalley

I read this one straight through in one sitting. It's literally been however many hours since I started and I just finished and I'm doing the review now while it's still fresh in my mind. Which means, a LOT of jumbled thoughts. Bear with me. Or bare with me, get naked, that works too.
First off, the cover, rawr. Yes they are a hot couple. That guy doesn't fit the description but hey, can't have everything right? He was supposed to look like a Viking God with dark blonde hair. The guy on the cover doesn't disappoint though let me tell ya.
Ana and Ethan are the main characters in the book. Ethan is the handsome pediatrician who loves his job and is a single father trying to raise a teenager who's been jumping on the rebel train more and more lately. Ana is the hot Dominican goddess who's illegally living in the US and is struggling with every little thing from getting a job to transportation because she's not a US citizen and she's got a family that she loves and is working to take care of.
Ethan meets Ana for the first time when he saves her while being groped and practically molested by the new principal of the school that Ana get's tutoring work from. He hears her screaming at the man to stop touching her and Ethan walks right in to stop a situation that could have gotten pretty bad. As she's running out of the school, Ethan runs after her to make sure she's ok and to offer himself as a witness if she'd like to press charges. He finds out Ana does Spanish tutoring which is perfect timing because he needs a tutor for his son who is behind in class. He hires her to come to his home and help his son.
Ana immediately makes a good impression upon Ethan's son Theo, and tries her best to avoid the chemistry between herself and Ethan. She doesn't want the complications that come with her dating a man who might not understand her problems and her history. The last guy ran off when he found out she was an illegal alien and broke her heart.
Ana and Ethan have the love and the chemistry right. They seem perfect for each other. Ana lies to Ethan. She keeps it from him that she's illegally in the country. She won't open her heart to him. He wants to open his heart to her, but she always keeps him at arms length. She frustrated me there towards the end of the book. She got be a stubbron pain in the ass. Ethan had no doubt in his mind what he wanted from her, he just wasn't clear with her. That could have all been solved with a simple question. It drove me nuts. I can relate though because it seems most "adults" nowadays have shitty communication anyway. So yeah, it's absolutely possible.
This forbidden love from the other side of the tracks but with the added complication of government interference, an overbearing butthole of a brother, a nosy ass screw up of a sister, a horn dog hot headed brother, a busybody neighbor who can't keep her damn piehole shut, all make for an interesting and engaging story. The writing was well done and this was a really good book. Ethan and Theo save the book completely when Ana needed a good kick in the head. Enjoy!

Demon's Deception - Demon's Unleashed Erotic Novellas - Lisa Alder

The Demon's Deception - Lisa Alder

This short series of novellas are hot and to the point. You'd think with very few pages per book that there'd basically only be sex and then leave the paranormal part of the story to the imagination.

The author did a damn good job of making these short stories feel like a full book, even when I was over here wishing the story was a lot longer. This series left me wanting MORE. Don't know how she did it, most short stories suck ass. These actually didn't.

I hope there's more in the series, or another similar series. Something. Will be looking for other books by the author, on her kink side. Don't care for the sweet books.

[Reblog] Beware the GR Police, they don't like being criticized.

Reblogged from Kaia:

Well I suppose it was only a matter of time before the GR policy on writing about author behavior was taken to new, non-author-related levels. Alright, let me back up. About 3 days after the "announcement" of the new review policy I got an email from GR. They listed about 10 of my reviews and said that they were about the author's behavior and would be deleted if I didn't change them within 24 hours.  So I did. I changed my shelf names, and in place of the rule breaking statement about the author's behavior I put this:

"This review has been censored by GoodAuthors. They think your brains as readers are far too fragile to handle something that isn't about the book...I mean, you're just a precious little flower that needs protecting.

All comments on this review have been deleted because God forbid the GoodAuthors thought police think I'm flouting a rule in the comments and accidentally delete my account."

All of the reviews said the same thing and I did in fact delete the comments. That was about 2 weeks ago, yesterday I got an email that those same reviews had been deleted.  According to the email:

The Demon's Bargain - Demon's Unleashed Erotic Novellas 1 - Lisa Alder

The Demon's Bargain - Lisa Alder

If you want some hot demon loving, some kink, and a super fast story then this might be it for you. It satisfied a kink need quickly. I've been struggling with some of these books lately.

I wish this was a full length book, it was well written and a lot was conveyed in such a short story. A lot of new information you had to learn as you go and for being a short story, it was well written. I have a hard time with short stories and this one was pretty good.

Going to the next one in the series.

300

I'm trying to keep a running tally of just how many books I've read this year.

If fucking GR hadn't deleted my account and then played the bullshit card about not being able to recover my list of books read, when somehow they can recover people's now deleted reviews, then I'd have my list here and I'd have hundreds of reviews up, thousands on my tbr list and probably take up half the space on BookLikes servers.

Thank you flaggers for getting me completely banned :D Booklikes is waaaay better.

Some Advice From IT Professionals on How to Handle the Latest Goodreads Shenanigans

Reblogged from Kaia:

As I mentioned in an earlier post, my husband is a programmer. He works for an international company with a high bar for its IT staff.

I ran GR's latest nonsense--their claim that Booklikes is causing Goodreads content to be deleted--past him, and the verdict is that this is actually probably GR's fault. More than likely is has to do with flaws in their API code that are more like security holes than features. Other sites should never be able to delete GR user content. The fact that it may have somehow happened indicates that the blame lies with Goodreads, and they're trying to use Booklikes as a scapegoat.

My husband also ran this past his colleagues, who agreed that there's only one way to handle this:

Run. Pack up your shit and get the hell out of dodge, because Goodreads is not a site you can trust. Their API code is a mess and they're trying to blame it on someone else so they don't have to take responsibility for exposing their user base to potential security breaches. The best thing you can do for yourself is jump ship.

I'm appalled at Goodreads' behavior. Their lack of professionalism and unwillingness to take responsibility for their mistakes is horrifying. They're a shit snowball rolling down a hill and with each new fuck up, the mess gets uglier and uglier. Find a place that respects you as a user, a place that doesn't try to censor you and doesn't think you're an idiot who can't see through their bullshit. That place is not Goodreads.
